Located on the exclusive shopping promenade Avenue Louise in the heart of Brussels, the luxury hotel Steigenberger Wiltcher’s is just minutes away from some of Brussels’ must-see destinations in its direct vicinity: European Union government district (about 1.5 km), the city center with the Manneken Pis and Grand Place (approx. 2 km), as well as the train station (approx. 2 km).

The 267 hotel rooms and suites feature stylish interiors and high-class comforts. These include air conditioning, flatscreen TV, iron, desk, safe, minibar, coffee and tea making facilities.

Upon arrival at the registration desk, all registered delegates will receive their access badge.

All participants will be required to show proof that they are COVID-safe by presenting one of the following certificates upon entry to the event:

  • vaccination certificate proving that you have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus at least 14 days before the event
  • PCR test certificate proving that you have taken a negative COVID-19 test in the previous 48 hours
  • recovery certificateshowing that you have recovered from COVID-19 after a previous positive COVID-19 test

HOW TO GET THERE

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

The BIR Global Trading Forum will be a fully in-person event.

All participants need to be pre-registered for the event. In order to ensure safety for all, only pre-registered participants will have access to the venue.

The BIR team is working closely with the venue to ensure a safe environment for all attendees. The official Belgian health and safety measures will be applied. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you in real time.

Based on the official requirements, we have developed a detailed set of hygiene and safety measures to make sure that you can enjoy a safe and high-quality event.

International travel to Belgium is possible and different sets of rules apply depending on the country you are travelling from. Please check the latest updates on the rules which apply for the country you are coming from, particularly for your return.

To enter the event

In order to ensure a safe experience for everyone, all event participants coming to the venue will be asked to provide a COVID-19 status proof:

  1. Proof of full vaccination
    EU Digital COVID Certificate or any vaccination certificate recognised by Belgium. The last day of your vaccination needs to be 14 days before the date of venue entry
  2. Proof of negative test
    An official PCR negative test result from within the last 48 hrs will be recognised or a negative antigen test no older than 24 hours before your entry to the event. Note that antigen testing is now available at many Belgian pharmacies
  3. Proof of immunity
    If you have been previously infected with Covid-19, you can use this as documentation by showing the result from your positive PCR test in the last 8 months prior to the event

We will keep our website updated as the situation evolves, with the health and safety of our participants remaining our top priority. Additional practical details will be communicated to you a few days ahead of your trip to inform you about the latest measures of the Belgian government.

All about testing in Belgium

You can have a test done at the airport on arrival. Most have their result in 24 hours, though it could take up to 48 hours. If possible, you might even consider arriving in Belgium earlier, to be sure that you do not miss a minute of the event. 

You also have the possibility to get tested in a Covid Test Center which is at walking distance from the event venue

At the venue

Guests will be welcomed in the dedicated registration area. Temperature indicators and sanitation facilities will be provided before entering the conference & networking areas. The room capacities and settings are adapted to fully comply with current government regulations.

In addition to the mandatory criteria to enter the event (as mentioned above), the safety measures in place at the venue include:

  • Mandatory wearing of face-masks for all participants throughout the event venue, except while eating or drinking
  • Widespread availability of hand sanitizer dispensers
  • Distanced seating of 1.5 meters in all conference rooms
  • Enforcement of social distancing throughout the event area
  • More frequent cleaning and disinfection throughout the conference centre
